29/03/2017: SAN FRANCISCO PCG HOLDS CONSULAR OUTREACH IN SACRAMENTO AND MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA, ON 18-19 MARCH 2017

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco concluded a consular outreach mission on 18-19 March 2017 at the Filipino American Community Center in Sacramento, and the Seasons Marketplace in Milpitas, respectively.

The ten-person team was composed of Consul Carlyn A. Monastrial, Team Leader and Signing Officer; Collecting Officer Jaime Bilar; ePassport Officers Annamaria Garcia and Ethel Castillo; Legal/Civil Registry Officer Claro Cabuniag; Dual Citizenship Officer Rey Sambitan, Pre-processing Officer Ronald Mantaring, Driver/Releasing Officer Manolito Lucido, and OVR Operators John Logarta and Angelica Sison.

The Consular Outreach team was able to process 190 passport renewals, one (1) passport extension, one (1) lost passport, nine (9) authentications, 92 acknowledgements, two (2) Reports of Marriage, one (1) Reports of Birth and one (1) Report of Death.  81 persons availed of Dual Citizenship services, with three (3) minor derivative.

The VRM Operators were able to process 125 new registrations in the course of the weekend.

The once a year outreach mission to Sacramento was organized in cooperation with community leaders led by Dr. Antonio and Mrs. Remy Solomon of  the Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity, while the outreach in Milpitas was hosted by Seafood City, headed by Ms. Gorjius Castillo.

The Consulate, with the assistance of the Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity, provided 194 services on March 18, 2017 at the Filipino American Community Center in Sacramento.

On its third visit to Milpitas, the Consulate provided 264 services to the Filipino-American Community in San Jose.
